Commercial Sidewalks & ADA

ADA-compliant commercial walks, accessible ramps, detectable warning panels, and site-improvement flatwork. Built to ADA spec and Greater Atlanta local code.

Sidewalks & Accessibility Work

Commercial sidewalks fail compliance fast if slopes or panel transitions aren't right. ADA cross-slope is capped at 2%. Running slope is capped at 5% without a ramp. Detectable warning panels are required at street and drive crossings. Getting this wrong fails inspection — and creates liability.

008 Concrete pours commercial walks, ADA ramps, accessible curb cuts, detectable warning panels, and site-improvement flatwork for retail, office, and multi-family across Greater Atlanta. Designed to current ADA spec, formed and finished by a crew that's done it.

Built to ADA Spec the First Time

ADA work has tight tolerances and zero room for sloppy finishing. A 3% cross-slope passes inspection. A 2.1% cross-slope fails — and a city inspector with a 4-foot level will find it. We laser-set every walk, verify slope before pour, and adjust forms when the slab is still workable.

Jake and Chuck check every ADA ramp before sign-off. The result: walks and ramps that pass inspection the first time, with documented as-built slope data if the AHJ wants it.

Commercial Sidewalk Pricing

Commercial sidewalk pricing depends on linear footage, width, ramp count, and detectable warning panel scope. Greater Atlanta market ranges below.

Standard ADA Sidewalk

$10 — $16 / sq ft

5-6 ft wide commercial walks, light broom, joints to code

ADA Ramp + Detectable Warning

$1,200 — $3,500 / ramp

Curb cut, detectable warning panel, slope to ADA spec

Commercial Sidewalk & ADA FAQ

Commercial walks must meet ADA running slope (max 5%), cross-slope (max 2%), and width (minimum 36 inches, 48 inches for accessible routes). Curb cuts at street and drive crossings need detectable warning panels per ADA Standards section 705. Greater Atlanta jurisdictions enforce these via building inspection and DOJ complaint resolution.

Yes. Most property owners discover non-compliance during a tenant turnover, an audit, or a complaint. We saw-cut the failing sections, replace the panels with code-compliant slope, and add detectable warning panels where required. We document the work for the property file in case of future challenge.

Yes. 008 Concrete handles ramp design within current ADA spec, including ramp slope, flare slopes, landing dimensions, and detectable warning panel placement. For complex sites with civil drawings, we work from the engineer's package.

A typical 200-foot commercial walk replacement runs 3-5 days from saw-cut to broom finish. Larger plaza scopes and ADA ramp networks run 1-3 weeks. We phase the work to keep at least one accessible route open whenever the property is occupied.
