Land clearing is the first cut on any commercial development. Trees down, stumps out, brush hauled, debris cleared, and the site ready for the survey crew and the mass grader. Skip any step and the GC pays for it later.

Bad clearing leaves problems for the grader to find. Buried stumps push up under the pad. Root balls hold water and rot under the slab. Construction debris in the fill compacts wrong and the building settles. We clear so the grader doesn't have to come back.

Trees marked for preservation get protected. Trees marked for removal come down clean. Stumps get ground out, not pushed under fill. Debris hauled to the right facility, not piled where it'll wash into the catch basin.

Yes. 008 Concrete clears commercial development sites, multi-family pads, retail lots, and industrial parcels across Greater Atlanta. Whether the scope is a 1-acre tenant pad or a multi-acre development, we run the clearing as one scope and hand the site off to the grader clean.

Yes. Many commercial sites require specific trees be preserved per the arborist's plan or local ordinance. We mark, fence, and protect those trees during clearing — root zone protected, no equipment over the drip line. We coordinate with the arborist and the civil engineer on the protection plan.

We grind. Buried stumps rot, push up under the pad years later, and create soft spots in the fill. Stump grinding is part of every clearing scope — and we leave the lot ready for the grader, not a problem for the next trade.

Commercial clearing debris goes to permitted facilities — wood waste to mulch yards or biomass facilities, soil and rock to fill sites, mixed C&D to licensed landfills. We track tickets and provide haul-off documentation if the GC needs it for LEED, permit close-out, or owner files.
